Overall, this was a nice and clean place to stay there was an unpleasant smell in the cabin and the main shower head didn’t work in one of our cabins and the glass in the patio was too high blocking the view.
The views are spectacular. The staff is friendly and helpful. Love that each room has its own sauna. Take advantage of the restaurant for lunch or an early dinner. Managing the gondola timing is easy. And if you miss the lower gondola, there a taxis that can take you to the second stop. We had more than enough time to go to the city and make it back before the last gondola.
My second time staying at the Almaty Hotel, and I'll definitely stay there again. Located downtown in walking distance to all the main attractions, the hotel has a great vibe. Best of all are the stunning mountain views, especially from the suites on the upper floors. The breakfast buffet, which was very good last year, is improved, and there's a new coffee shop now on the first floor. The staff is very attentive and welcoming. I am a single traveler, so the apartment was plenty spacious, super comfortable and super convenient for me. Central location helped me to get to any point fast and pain free. The apartment is very clean, freshly remodeled and simply lovely. The American travelers should be forewarned: nothing comes in industrial size like it is in the US. I enjoyed my stay very much and would like to come back soon.
