We opted for three nights here after 2 nights at a 5-star in old town Yogyakarta and were delighted the contrast. This was quiet and more personable. The "in-village" experience was pleasant, never obtrusive. Security and comfort were good. Lovely experience in an old historical hotel offering every modern convenience you could expect and want. You do get more than your monies' worth. Great room (choose the ones overlooking the pool), attentive staff, excellent breakfast but do go early to take advantage of all the choices.
