We booked a single night here at the very last minute trying to escape the heat of the west coast beach towns. We were so glad we did. This hotel is absolutely stunning. We had one of the rooms upstairs from the lobby rather than one of the bungalows but the room was amazing with a spacious first floor, kitchenette, balcony and a very cool loft bedroom/bath. A beautiful space, well suited for our family of 4 with 2 teens. Multiple outdoor areas to enjoy. We spotted many birds from the outdoor area including white throated parrots and keel billed toucans. Even if it's raining there is a screened patio room and covered porch. This is a beautiful area and a lovely place to stay.

Room was nicely decorated. Staff was friendly. Nice view out back of room into the woods. We had a 7:00 am tour so we couldn’t utilize regular breakfast. They made us a sandwich, fruit, and juice which was appreciated, but if all that was done, they could have just as easily fed us normal breakfast a little early. Also, a little difficult to check out and still be able to access your car when you return. Overall, enjoyed it!

Great hotel in Santa Elena. In walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Convenient location for visiting Monteverde and other reserves. Nice room, great breakfast.

Amazing! Beautifully designed, excellent food, superb service, with a canopy tour just 20 meters away and several easy hiking trails on the proporty. I hope to go back!

Parking was excellent, gardens are BEAUTIFUl, breakfast was lovely - plantains were amazing!

Great location and very near to the cloud forest. Lot of activities nearby - the only major problem being roads. The roads are dirt roads and lot of stones, potholes, dust, and lot of discomfort while driving. Anyone with back pain or other similar issues should avoid this travel.

This is a wonderful place to relax. Provides peace and privacy. No elevators. Try to use a wheeled luggage as the way to the rooms is ways up from the lobby. Also, it would be nice to have a USB charger on the night table. Restaurant serves excellent food.

Terrific room that was perfectly clean. Stephen at reception was extremely kind and helpful. Incredible value - honestly they could probably charge at least 30% more and it would still be a great value. Definitely would stay here again

This is SUCH a beautiful property. I stayed here as a solo female traveler and I was absolutely in love with my room! It was so spacious, and the property itself is so well maintained and has such a gorgeous ambiance. It’s in a really great location in Monteverde, and I felt safe the entire time I was here. Outstanding place to stay! Beautiful grounds, great accommodations and excellent staff! We saw so many wonderful birds thanks to their feeding station. We did their night walk tour and it was fascinating! I’d highly recommend staying here. You won’t be disappointed if your looking for beautiful grounds, great service and bird watching.

Hotel was in a quiet area of Monteverde and you felt very secluded, although you were very close to town and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful with making reservations for the tours we took. Bring some warm clothing as it can get a little chilly in the early morning and at night.

Place was clean and basic. Liked that shopping and restaurants were walkable distance (uphill coming back can be a challenges). I loved that you can book tours through the reception area.

Our family enjoyed the friendly family who own the hotel who went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of and their dog and kitten were a big hit! We could see amazing birds right from the grounds.

The hotel is ideally located with a spectacular view. It is close to the nature preserve, restaurants, markets. The lobby, sitting area, terraces, and rooms are large and airy. The breakfast was outstanding. The grounds are extensive and had lots of exotic birds to watch. I enjoyed the hotel and will come back to stay again with my family.
