Beautiful place to stay surrounded by wilderness.

This was the perfect spot for me. Less than a 10 minute drive to Chichen Itzá. The very personable owner made a wonderful breakfast before I departed to see the ruins. He gave fantastic recommendations and sincerely wanted me to enjoy my stay. I spent two nights at the bungalow because I wanted to enjoy an authentic rural experience. What a great stay at "The Lodge Chichen Itza" We arrived a little late in the evening but was still met at the gate with a notice of our intended arrival. Picked up by golf type cart including our baggage and brought to the front desk where we quickly checked in and were told about the grounds and activities. The hotel has 2 nice pools that are great for relaxing after visiting the ruins. The restaurant has limited choice on the menu, but the food is tasty and reasonably priced. My only complaint is that the mattresses were a bit hard.

Immaculately clean, very new TV, AC and bathroom fixture. Got a great night's sleep each time I was there. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Piste's small tourist eateries, taco stands and food stalls geared for locals very short walk away. This is the ideal stay for someone visiting Chichen who wants to experience small-town Mexico as part of the trip. I come often to visit friends, and this will be my new local go-to.

The hotel was fancier, cleaner, quieter than I expected. The 2-meal option (dinner and breakfast for me) was delicious and well worth the extra fee. The pool was slightly heated but clean, refreshing, and large enough for lap swimming. The hotel clerk let me play pool in the library. The hotel grounds are nice and the location is fantastic for visiting Chichén Itzá (5 min drive). The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The food in the hotel is amazing and was some of the best we ate in our week in Mexico.

This is a great option if you intend to visit Chichen Itza or any other destination close to the hotel like: Valladolid, Ek-Balam, or Water Holes (Cenotes). The rooms are clean and the facilities are new and well-maintained. More important the clerks are really kind and the ladies and gentlemen attending the restaurant are really kind and responsive to your requirements. The food is good the same as the buffet.
