This is amazing hotel. The service is top quality. Employees are friendly and very helpful. We stayed at a room with king bed. It's three times the size of a regular hotel room. Not too small. Not too big. But the rooms are nicely-sized. And while the hotel does not have central air conditioning, the in-room units are powerful, which is an absolute necessity (for me, at least) in the very hot, very humid rain forest of the Peten. The rooftop bar is a lively place to be in town, but it quiets down very nicely when it is time to go sleep. The hotel, consisting of separate cabanas, is conveniently located on a main road near Flores, Guatemala. We arrived in a high-roof van with a roof rack and were able to access the property without any issues. We greatly enjoyed the grilled dinner for 4. The pool was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful!

We loved out stay at Casa de Don David! The grounds are beautiful and the rooms were comfortable for our visit to Tikal. The food was also delicious. The staff helped us arrange a driver for airport pickup and dropoff as well as transportation to and from Tikal. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you!

Beautiful setting for a hotel, on the beach of Lake Peten Itza and inside the Guatemalan rainforest! You can see and hear howling monkeys on the way to your room! Staff service was great, food was delicious!

One of the older hotels on the island but going strong. Clean and up-to-date rooms. I had one of the cheaper ones overlooking the pool. Staff was helpful and friendly. Packed breakfast and taxi were arranged for my early morning flight (before regular breakfast service)

This is a hidden gem in Flores. If you want enjoy Flores but are worried about the noise - there are plenty of loud bars and dogs there - this is the perfect spot. It is a private island with one hotel consisting of four rooms, each its own cabin. The five minute boat ride to and from town is provided free by Gustavo anytime you ask. Your deck is 10 feet off the shore line. I am going back!

The property was amazing.. the staff was great. A gem in an unlikely location. Although there was no other hotel like it around, it was a 5-7 minute drive to the Island of Flores where all the night life and restaurants are. Would definitely come again.
