From start to finish, the place was excellent. Every staff member was friendly and helpful. Food was very good with all the different restaurants, drinks were flowing all day. All the different pools were great so you could have quiet time or entertainment. Shows available every night, sax players, singers sprinkled around the property. WoW! We had the BEST stay at Jewel Punta Cana! Each day started at the beach- so nice! Water was great. Beach/water shoes were not needed. We got our chairs early, often before 9. They fill up fast! I stayed here for my birthday and it was a wonderful experience! I came up to my room and was greeted by one of staff with a small bday cake and a bottle of champagne, it was such a nice surprise!!! All of the staff were friendly and welcoming, food was good, the grounds are kept up beautifully. Overall I recommend staying here and plan on coming back for sure! I traveled to Bayahibe for scuba diving, and hotel el Pulpo was 10 minutes away from the beach by walking. There is a shortcut to scuba caribe where I did my dive and excursion.
