Glyndebourne Opera House is 1.1 mi (1.8 km) from central Glynde, why not stop by during your stay. Hotels.com travelers also say the area is full of friendly people and has lots of nice beaches. It's also full of great shops and cafes, so you can spend the afternoon having a wander. If you want to experience more of the culture Glynde has to offer, head to Lewes Castle, Charleston Farmhouse, and Monk's House.
I loved it! The room was gorgeous, spacious and just right for my sister and I on my birthday eve. Breakfast was great and I am pleased. I didn’t realise it was above a pub but that wasn’t a problem. Free parking and 10mins drive to city centre.
The AC in the room wasn’t functional but there was a back up fan that helped somewhat.
Wonderful old pub. The rooms were very cozy. The noise from the pub was not bad at all. Staff and pub customers very friendly. Great place to stay and explore Lewes.
We were stranded because of the airport shutdown and I booked the hotel without my normal thorough review… and I got very lucky.

-Late checkout is £15 per hour up to two hours. Like I get it but also… yuck.
-Entrance is a bit disguised
-Location is far away from Brighton Beach shopping and sights (but if you aren’t afraid of public transport, a 30 minute bus ride will get you there easily)

Friendly, helpful staff; an easy check-in; clean, comfortable room (ours looked out toward the ocean which was a plus). Most importantly for us, it was steps away from the train station, from a supermarket for supplies, and from the trailhead for an extensive system of hiking trails leading to some truly unique and wonderful landscapes. Highly recommended.
This was an amazing property! Very clean. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Very quiet country setting. Definitely a great place for a destination wedding or special event. The art gallery and shop had some really great finds. If we had more time, we would have loved to stay longer:)
We had an excellent stay at The Grand Brighton and found the room, restaurant, bar, and staff services to be exceptional. The location was fabulous offering convenient access to surrounding areas and a gorgeous view of the ocean. On the last night of our stay, the battery on our keypad failed (along with a few other rooms), and we were not able to get into our room for several hours. A great option in the area. We loved the pool and it wasn't too busy on the weekdays. It is an easy location in walking distance of some great sites. Very dog and kid friendly.
It was a little expensive for what was on offer and the breakfast could be improved but other than that no complaints.
