I stayed in Newcastle for three nights and was incredibly fortunate to choose Drummer Lodge. Just a lovely spot, 5 minutes driving from town and the shore in Newcastle, 15 or so to some great hiking trails. Grounds are very nice and there’s a gentle climb down to the river, a beautiful spot on the patio to sit out for a drink or morning coffee — and the breakfast was excellent as well (I had to go for the Ulster Fry (similar to the Full English) both mornings. This is a beautiful 4-star hotel. From the moment we entered the door and walked up to the reception desk to the moment we checked out, we had friendly, impeccable service. The room was spacious and beautiful. The restaurant for breakfast was lovely. We would definitely stay here again.
The Rostrevor Inn is perfectly located in the middle of town and near Kilborney Park. We were sad the restaurant was closed the night we were there, but the room (we got the Narnia room!) was very comfortable and the breakfast delicious and filling. The best part was the wonderful friendly bartender who checked us in, though. We loved Rostrevor and would happily stay here again.

Such a beautiful bed and breakfast! The breakfast was delicious and the owner knew so much about cooking for people who can't eat gluten. The rooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable! It was quiet and peaceful. We loved our stay!
The Belmont is a beautiful property. Check-in was easy and the staff was pleasant. The downstairs bar was really unique and we were able to enjoy a nice casual meal after a day of traveling the Causeway. Our room was very comfortable and stylish. Breakfast was good. We would definitely stay here again for a nice location between Belfast and Dublin.

This was a FABULOUS stop during our around the country tour of Ireland! I HIGHLY recommend using the deep tub and reading a book! I also recommend downloading and using What's App so you can contact the host. We were nervous at first when we couldn't find our previous e-mail on our phones but Phillip sent a second e-mail and then we were gran!
