"Beautifully decorated room. Breakfast and dinner was exceptional. Staff were super friendly and welcoming. Location was great and close to a lot of trails/water for walking. Although there are several restaurants within walking distance, they were only open Thursday to Sunday. The only negative experience was the noise from traffic traveling through the town all hours of the night. It’s a very quiet town so the noise stands out."
"Fantastic B&B. Set in a quiet location with a stunning backdrop. The Garden Room has an open view of the mountains and there’s also a small chill room to relax and take in those views regardless of what room you’re staying in.
John and Patricia were excellent hosts, very attentive and periodically checking that all is ok. Nice breakfast in a cozy room. Very comfy bed, well provisioned facilities and some nice personal extras (like a piece of homemade lemon cake!). Just a few minutes drive to Newcastle’s shops, bars and restaurants . Tollymore Forest is very close and well worth visiting."
"I’ve reached out to the hotel and had one response in regards to the list of complaints we had about our stay. In summary we had a buzzing noise outside our room the entire time and when I went to the desk I was told it would go off as we were above the kitchen.. we were not above the kitchen and it didn’t go off!
There were a lot of things about the stay that wasn’t very nice and to not receive a proper response was just adding insult to injury.
Not a 5 star hotel in my eyes I am really sorry but you need to treat your customers (especially repeat customers) better"
"Room is fine, basic self-serve continental breakfast. Not as nice as many B&Bs in this price range we have stayed in. I suspect that ownership has changed since many of the glowing reviews were written."
"We had the most wonderful stay at this holiday apartment. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed into a space that was not only spotlessly clean but also bursting with artistic charm and quirky character. Every corner had a creative touch that made the place feel truly special.
The owners were incredibly warm and friendly, going above and beyond to make us feel at home. Their hospitality added a personal touch that made our experience unforgettable.
This apartment exceeded all our expectations – it was far more than just a place to stay; it was an experience in itself. We wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for something unique and memorable. We’ll definitely be coming back again!
