Beautiful hotel with nice amenities such as the breakfast and free mini bar. Staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Location is very convenient for the train station but also an easy walk to attractions. I highly recomment.

This is the idyllic french retreat that includes everything one might imagine of a European spa, including a peaceful pool and hot tub, an outdoor garden sanctuary, a delicious breakfast, and a chill outdoor bar. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful and comfortable. Our family's favorite aspect of our stay was the outdoor bar and scenic garden. Highly recommend.

Hotel Spalentor offers a wonderful, well run place to stay in a perfect location for access to the old town or to get to the train station. Old school kind of place wheree they give you a physical key for your room but everything is clean as a whistle.

The hotel was very nice, located in central Basel. The only downside was that it, apparently like other recently renovated hotels, did not have air conditioning (and it was unseasonably hot in Basel.

Located in 2-3 minutes walking distance from the station. Also close to the old city. In general a very nice hotel with friendly staff. Highly recommend to those who are looking for a hotel in Basel.

Very friendly and responsive staff. I requested a fan a 10pm and they quickly came to my room with it.

Excellent value for Switzerland. 5 minute walk to station with quick connections to Basel and 1 hour to Zurich. High quality furnishings and TV and spacious room.

This hotel has the most comfortable, fluffy pillows I've ever slept on. There's no A/C, which is OK as it usually cools down at night, but it was warm in the room during the day with temps reaching up into the mid-80s while we were there. The little garden out back is an oasis. This is close to the tram and they give you a Basel Card that makes all the public transportation free during your stay. Although the Old Town is just a short walk over the bridge, you can get anywhere you need to go...
