Very nice hotel, with a clean, comfortable, good-sized room and a good breakfast. Great location near the train station and the Markthalle food court, and an easy walk to the historic center of town.

8/10 Very good

Great staff and breakfast. Very clean and well located. Only reason I didn't give 5 star rating was because room didn't have any temperature control and promised fan wasn't delivered.

Convenient and central location for visits to places of interest in Basel. Adequate breakfast. Ineffective air-conditioning in rooms.

8/10 Very good

We were only staying one night and chose it because of proximity to both train station and airport bus stop - less than 5 minutes walk. The hotel entrance is shared with another hotel so not immediately obvious. The room was clean and comfortable and the continental breakfast had all the usual options.

8/10 Very good

Very handy for the SBB station, just a few minutes walk. They press you to check in and out online, but don't provide language options, so you are reliant on Google Translate. I'm not sure if I could have just done this at the desk, it's unclear. That said, it was unstaffed when I left. Room itself was great, large with comfortable beds. Well sound-proofed despite facing a main road / tramway. Only issue was that housekeeping hadn't checked the shower gel dispenser - it was empty. I didn't eat as I had an early train so just grabbed something from Migros on the station, but they did offer breakfast.

Only issue was no air con. The lady on reception was incredibly helpful- moved me to a quieter room (where could open windows) and got some fans, but it was still like a sauna. Got zero sleep

Hotel location is close to train station, which makes traveling easy. We got a Basel card, which offers free bus/tram rides upon check in. The room is a bit small, but clean. View outside our window is great. Room is warm when we check in, so we open the window. Not too noisy. The breakfast is on top floor, and not to miss the view.
