This was the perfect place for our staying at Nanaimo. It was close to parks for walking in, very quiet and spacious, and the view was spectacular! We loved our stay here.

Everything was great. There was no soap or shampoo in the bathroom, but we didn’t request any. There was a coffee maker, but no coffee in the room. However, we brought our own.
Pool was a little on the chilly side, and breakfast was pretty minimal, but overall it was a great stay and we would definitely return if we were back in the area.
Our stay was excellent. The bed was comfy, the house was quiet. The view was beautiful. Breakfast was excellent and the host was very personable. Jim and Katrina care. I had never been asked by a proprietor as to what they could do better. There was nothing. Jim has lots of suggestions for dinner. We went to the Fox and Hound, great advice.
We arrived just before check-in and were pleasantly surprised to see hundreds of Canadian geese on Long Lake. Yes the highway is right there, but there’s plenty of green space behind the Long Lake Inn. I especially appreciated the first floor and was able to park right near our door, which is helpful since we’ve been traveling with our dog and a crate and all of our stuff easy access to our clean room. The location is close to everything.

The owners Marla and Tom are so gracious and helpful. They have so much knowledge of the area. They greeted us by name when we saw them. Provided amazing home baked goods and recipes and also provided a personalized sack breakfast and lunch for us to take when we left early to take the MV Frances Barkley to Bamfield. They treat you like family.
