10/10 Exceptional

Central walkable location to cafes, shops and parks, including north and south island by car. We stayed here 8 days as our home base to explore Vancouver island. We spent a week on the mainland sitting in traffic and avoiding hordes of homeless drug addicted zombies. Nanaimo and the island as a whole was much better. This hotel was very accommodating, offering a special mat for my bad back and the first floor restaurant was as good as anything in town, which is rare for a hotel.
