Mountain Lake Lodge was totally charming. they appear to have made a conscious decision to keep the place very well-maintained, but (other than the free wi-fi, for which I did not even need a password) NOT to try to modernize much. Hinton was an adorable little town, and the bed and breakfast was perfect. The charming home decorated tastefully of the period it was built! Loved it. Quiche was delicious.

Room was cute and clean. AC worked really well, and there was a fridge and a microwave in the room. I was in the area for an OCR so all I really needed was a bed and a shower. The tub had a nice shower head and both the water pressure and temperature were consistent. Bonus-there was a Dairy Queen next door and the dining area had a beautiful riverside view!
This was a lovely property in a rural area of WV. It was very clean & comfortable. The gal at the desk was very personable. The rooms had a microwave & small fridge. The mattress was soft for my comfort but I slept great. Breakfast was simple. A great place to stay at a reasonable cost if you’re exploring a beautiful area of our country! I’d stay again!
The hotel was very easy to find. The staff was extremely friendly. Even though we arrived at 11pm when most hotel staff is tired and not very talkative the front desk attendant was very helpful and friendly and offered suggestions on what was located around the hotel in case we were hungry. When we checked out the following day the staff was just as friendly. Made sure to ask if my stay was OK and if there was anything they could have done differently being that they only opened a week prior. ...
The room was very comfortable and the desk staff were so very nice and friendly. Breakfast was good, a nice variety and the hot food was nice and hot. THe only thing that was a disappointment was that we had a king bed room and there was no fridge in the room. We had perishable food we brought on our trip and had to keep it in the cooler overnight.
I liked how it went for me the staff was great and courteous and the room was very clean and what I expected it to be. I would recommend your place to anyone who is looking for a place to stay at when traveling.
