Lovely old hotel in centre of Thirsk, be prepared for noisy floorboards. Room was pleasant at side of hotel, so no view. The bathroom was up two steps, difficult at night, if partner is asleep and you do not want to put on a light. One negative, placed the 'we're going green, skip the clean' sign on the door, as we left in the morning.
