We were so pleasantly surprised when we walked into the room. It was toasty (it was only 11 degrees outside), the room was clean, it was very quiet, and there were even elk walking between the cabins. The immediate area had everything to eat from fast food to fancier dining. The skiing, tubing, snowmobiling, and an elk reserve were very close by. The check-in and out process went very smoothly. Although the property appears a little "rustic" on the outside, the rooms are excellent with new bathrooms and VERY clean throughout. The manager was outstanding. My partner has RA, so walking up stairs is a problem. Initially we had a second floor room but when a first floor room was available the next morning she immediately moved us to the first floor.

Wonderful location in the middle of Jackson. Can walk everywhere. Beautiful, modern hotel with all the amenities, except no pool. Hallways in second building could use updating, but that's a minor gripe for an excellent hotel.
It couldn’t have been better. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was good. The location was ideal for enjoying everything Jackson has to offer.
We stayed here for two nights before heading out to tour Yellowstone. Everything was as you would expect an expensive facility to be. We were more interested in sightseeing than in using the nice facilities at the hotel, so cannot rate those amenities. The stay was very very nice, but the location was a bit far out from Jackson and required some time to get to and from town.
The lodge is one of the nicest places I've ever stayed at. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It has that homey feeling with the extensive use of wood throughout. The rooms were very comfortable and large. Solid wood furniture and wood trim made it feel like home. The view of the slopes from our room was spectacular. The restaurant fantastic and the food was great along with the wait staff. I can't wait for our next trip to Jackson because we will be staying there again.
I love the Elk Country Inn. It’s always my go-to place to stay when I spend a weekend in the park. This time, I was here for Grizzly 399’s memorial and wasn’t going to drive home that late.
I had a wonderful solo stay here at Anvil. The hotel felt safe and the staff (especially Mario and Lizzie) were so kind and helpful. I would absolutely recommend this place if you are a female traveling; it's walkable from town, the airport bus drops you off literally across the street, the rooms are clean, quiet, and safe, and there are areas to work in the lobby as a warm fire crackles, plus free coffee in the morning! Looking forward to coming back soon!
