We were stranded because of the airport shutdown and I booked the hotel without my normal thorough review… and I got very lucky.

Cons first:
-Late checkout is £15 per hour up to two hours. Like I get it but also… yuck.
-Entrance is a bit disguised
-Location is far away from Brighton Beach shopping and sights (but if you aren’t afraid of public transport, a 30 minute bus ride will get you there easily)

The location near the sea & pier was excellent. The staff were wonderfully helpful and friendly. Felt like family. Bathroom is a bit small, but that's to be expected so not an issue. Breakfast buffet was great, one of the best at any small hotel we've stayed.
I give this place a 10 because I have no complaints. None. It was clean, tidy, everything worked as it should, and it was great. I was born and raised in this neighborhood, and know it well. Lots of shops, cafe, coffee shops etc. Very easy to get around. I have no complaints whatsoever. We had a really nice two weeks here from the USA and would definitely choose it again.
Friendly, helpful staff; an easy check-in; clean, comfortable room (ours looked out toward the ocean which was a plus). Most importantly for us, it was steps away from the train station, from a supermarket for supplies, and from the trailhead for an extensive system of hiking trails leading to some truly unique and wonderful landscapes. Highly recommended.
We were in Eastbourne visiting friends and to attend a wedding at Battle Abbey. Picked the Albert & Victoria Guest House because of all the Great Reviews and it lived up the 5 Star-Rating!! The owner Keith goes to no-ends to make your stay pleasant. He is the perfect host to say the least!! The folks he has working for him were delightful. If your plans take you to Eastbourne then a stay at the Albert & Victoria will surely make you stay Very Pleasant!!!!
The Beach Hotel didn't look like much at first. We were expecting a very basic hotel. But, we were floored when we opened the door to our room to discover one of the nicest hotel rooms we've ever had. The decor was comfortable and modern and there was a terrific view of Regency Square and the sea (and the Pier in the distance) out our large window. A great option in the area. We loved the pool and it wasn't too busy on the weekdays. It is an easy location in walking distance of some great sites. Very dog and kid friendly.
It was a little expensive for what was on offer and the breakfast could be improved but other than that no complaints.
