If you want a true German small town experience this is the place to stay. Staff was excellent. A car is a must. We traveled to Cologne and Eltz Castle. Would definitely recommend
Great hotel next to the castle Burg Reichenstein. Upscale hotel with great views of the Rhein river or castle. The rooms are comfortable but not for longer stays as there are no closets or drawers or even a table. The bathrooms are interesting, beautifully done but toilet, shower and sink are separated; it's a bit odd to have the shower in the room/hallway with only a glass door so no privacy at all. The hotel is right in the center of a very quiet town. Great walks around the town and along the Rhine, and the bus passes right in front to take you to Koblenz or to other towns along the river. The the breakfasts and dinners in the restaurant were very good and the owners most accommodating. A lovely find.
Beautiful wooded location. Clean comfortable room. There is an interesting animal reserve next door. Lots of free parking.
My only suggestion for improvement is to provide a bar of soap and shampoo. I thought the breakfast was decent but not great with no cooked food available. These minor points don’t detract from how nice a place this is.
We very much enjoyed our stay. Wonderful property located in a lovely small village just outside Koblenz. Spa and gym were very nice. Only wish the sauna opened at 7am along with the pool. The hotel restaurant is very nice but if you prefer a more traditional German dining experience consider walking into the village and visiting the restaurant there.
This is an excellent place to stay and it’s close to everything. The staff was welcoming and friendly and the room was clean, comfortable and quiet. I would stay here again.
Coming at night without a GPS and limited German, the hotel staff was extremely helpful and in the end well coming with a hot chocolate. The hotel is attractive as long as you like traditional furnishings, but it comes with an extraordinary view over rolling fields, lovely terraces and with a small private wellness area, pool and sauna WITH and adjoining private Garden. Lovely accommodations adjacent to an historic castle. I stayed in a single room on the 4th floor (a.k.a. "attic space") which was perfect for a solo traveler. This compact room offered excellent views of the Rhine River too. One thing about the 4th floor though, you will have to walk up from the 3rd floor as there is no elevator service to the 4th floor.
