Annie & Gerry have thought of everything a traveler might need at a B&B! Excellent accommodation, breakfasts and local sightseeing advice. Also very strong WiFi. We had an excellent 2 night stay...and would certainly stay again if we return to Anglesey.
This review is from an American's perspective. Our first UK/Wales trip.
This is a class operation. It is a country house, not a hotel. All rooms were different, very nicely appointed and roomy; comfortable beds. No in-room safe. I don't have any reference from other country houses. But in my opinion, five stars all the way.
Common spaces were great. Very nice conservatory, glass on all sides. Formal living room with plenty of seating. Huge, manicured grounds. This is out in the country. Quiet....
We absolutely loved our stay at The Lake View Hotel. Amy and James were wonderful hosts, the breakfast was delicious, rooms comfortable and well appointed. Easy walk to the town of Llanberis and bus stop across the street to Mt. Snowdon. The back garden is absolutely stunning. Highly recommend!!
We loved the charm and setting of this hotel. The gardens are beautiful and sit on the banks of he Menai Straits. Each public room is wonderfully furnished with the charm of a French chateau. Our room had the best hotel shower I have ever seen with three different shower heads. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We had both breakfast and dinner at the hotel and both were very well done. In particular, I had a halibut baked in pastry that was a real gormet meal.
If you want to keep an eye on the Snowdon Mountain Railway or be close to the beginning of the Llanberis path up Mt. Snowdon, this is the place to be. And, if its raining and cold, you'll be content to eat at the Hotel's pub. There's a short walk through the woods to Dolbadarn Castle which is, yes, a castle in Wales, and very picturesque. Breakfast is adequate- an arrival of multiple coaches may have you relocated to a smaller dining room which happened to us, but then we were not on anyone...
There's true magic here! The most incredible, memorable experience with magic both inside and outside in the beautiful gardens and grounds. The staff was so kind and went above and beyond to make each moment special for us, we were so amazed and grateful. The rooms were so well kept and peaceful, the best sleep we had in the whole two week trip. The spa and pool was phenomenal, and Thomas the masseuse was incredible and really helped us relax - highly recommend a massage with him! We would, and...
Great location…25 steps to Bangor train station. Friendly warm staff. Authentic Thai food available in their restaurant.Downstairs bar had small groups of friendly easygoing young crowd (not loud or unpleasant) Owner Ms. Su is actively committed to her business and is available to guests for compliments or complaints. Local busses leave within one to 4 blocks for various locations including Snowdonia.
It was a perfect stay. It is very charming with a warm and helpful staff. Conveniently located to all local attractions. The only caution is there are only 3 parking spaces…first come first serve. You have to drive up the hill through the town wall and make a left up another hill. The parking is 24 hours at 8.5 pounds.
Fantastic overnight stay for birthday. Check in team very friendly and helpful. Room clean and relaxing. Lovely terrace and great view.
Evening meal tasty and restaurant team great. Breakfast served by friendly team menu was wholesome. Check out quick, overall Quay staff were excellent. Look forward to staying again as didnt try spa this time
Enjoyed my visit here so much we are coming back in two weeks. Rooms are very comfortable, the water view is amazing, the restaurant serves delicious food, and the staff is friendly and helpful.
We enjoyed our short stay. The house is big, with a garden with swings etc our child and we loved, a decked terrace to enjoy the views, dedicated barbecue area etc. Spacious bedrooms. The beach and town centre is only a short walk away. It was great to have all the essentials made available. Hope we can return one day with our extended family!
