When you pull up to the buildings it looks quite dated. The interior though is very clean, staff in the 1884 Restaurant are really lovely. George couldn't do enough for us. The cutlery was spotless and food was enjoyable. Loved it. We also had the Lake view from our window

All very good indeed. Comfortable and clean room, with good upkeep throughout my stay. A perfect location overlooking the town, beautiful Edwardian buildings in the Arts and Crafts style, fine views from my windows. Excellent breakfasts, served from 7.30 onwards for those wanting an early start. Staff friendly and helpful. And amazing value for money all round.
