The property is a bit dated but great value. The breakfast is probably the best I’ve ever had in any hotel anywhere in the world (seriously). Vegan and vegetarian options unlike anywhere in Britain. There’s plenty for the omnivores, too. Great location, albeit a bit windy to find it up the hills. Friendly staff and wonderful service. Would absolutely stay again.

When you pull up to the buildings it looks quite dated. The interior though is very clean, staff in the 1884 Restaurant are really lovely. George couldn't do enough for us. The cutlery was spotless and food was enjoyable. Loved it. We also had the Lake view from our window

All very good indeed. Comfortable and clean room, with good upkeep throughout my stay. A perfect location overlooking the town, beautiful Edwardian buildings in the Arts and Crafts style, fine views from my windows.
