Clean apartment, well equipped, quiet, great location

Carlos was very helpful& gave us great restaurant recommendations& sights to see. The two rooms were great. Spotlessly Clean& we had room 1 ( the best) great new bathroom& beautiful ceilings. Room 2 had beautiful ceilings & much smaller bathroom so if your very tall ( my son 6 feet 7 inches) get bedroom 1 . Great beds & sheets. Breakfast wonderful. Choose this place If you like peaceful stroll in the garden after your restful sleep. Exceptional staff, especially Sarah 👏. It is close to Sanctuary of Penha and sorrounded by nature.

I liked that it is a very unique historical property.

My wife and I stayed here while visiting Peneda-Gerês National Park. Sao Bento was a fantastic location for exploring the park and trails in the surrounding area. The hotel is a short 10-15-minute drive to Campo do Geres, where we went on a great hike (Cidade da Calcedónia trail) followed by a terrific drive through the park, along the Rio Homem (lake) to the Spanish border, and back down N-308-1. Super quiet despite being in the city center. Excellent blackout curtains. King-size and comfortable bed. Plenty of free toiletries. Kind and very helpful staff. The room and bathroom were clean. The beds and linens were comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. The hotel sits in a perfect location. It is close to the parking area if you have a car. Remember to stop at the hotel first to collect the parking card for 5 euro. The historic area is walkable because this hotel is in the center. The art work throughout the hotel adds a special touch. Close to historic site and restaurants. Excellent breakfast and the massage was good. Hotel bed, room, and bathroom is a good size. The downside is you’ll need to pay for spa services daily to use the pool. Hot tub is luke warm and the steam room could use eucalyptus or something to give it a spa feeling. Would be nice if pool access didn’t require a spa service. Also cap purchase required if you didn’t bring your own.

Great staff support

Really special hotel in a great location of Guimaraes. The staff is incredibly warm and friendly, and cater to whatever you need. Breakfast was great. For Europe, these rooms are huge, and charmingly decorated. Pool and patio were great. We will definitely stay here again.

The hotel was an adventure in it of itself. Enjoyed wondering the grounds and it is not a far drive to the town. Room was quite spacious.

Rooms were neat and modern, staff were attentive and kind, breakfast was in abundance lots of choices in sweet and savory. Pool area is huge and the sauna was a plus for me after completing the Camino De Santiago.

Beautiful property. We have stayed here before. Well located. Nice breakfast. Terrible omelets. Overcooked. Good amenities. The only bad thing is bathroom lighting. It is WAY to dark over mirror. The hand mirror did not light up. They need shower mats as shower is very slippery!

The hotel is tucked away in the center of town and walking distance to shops and cafe’s. The room and bathroom were very clean. The staff were friendly and very helpful with anything you need. They have some street parking available that was convenient. Breakfast is sit down style and with plenty of options. The cost was 15€ per person. Would definitely stay again.
