"The hotel is lovely, a little outside of Evora ($10 Uber each way, taxi even more), but the grounds are beautiful and their renovation of a convent into a hotel was well done; but some rooms are 300 steps from the center of the hotel. The pool was beautiful and very refreshing. Our car and driver didn't show to drive us to Porto and the Concierge leapt into service, getting us another driver with a large car to carry 4 people with luggage very comfortably at a slightly lower price than we would have spent."

There was a nice full breakfast buffet included. The only awkward feature was a tiny bathroom sink located under a glass shelf, leaving no room for anything but washing hands. All in all, we would definitely recommend this property."

"Knowing only a few words of Spanish was of no hindrance to our stay at this perfectly located hotel in Badajoz. For instance, the reception staff helped us order taxis and transitioned seamlessly between Spanish and fluent English, for which we were most grateful. Having said that, all the staff were friendly, courteous and helpful, initiating polite salutations in both languages as they recognised our Spanish language limitations. The restaurant staff quickly learned our choices of drinks, both hot and cold. Often they would offer us our coffee just as we liked it. A very nice touch, thank you! As mentioned by previous reviewers, the hotel location is perfect for arrival and departure by bus through the convenient proximity of the bus station 2 minutes walk away. We had many day trips to neighbouring towns, even one to Seville, by clean, efficient and inexpensive buses. The historical walled city is a leisurely 10 minute stroll away from the hotel, with many cafes en route. On days when we got weary after a long walk, a short, inexpensive taxi ride returned as efficiently to our comfortable hotel and room for relaxation. I would recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a base in the city/region for exploring the history and culture in this beautiful part of Spain. We stayed for 8 nights in May before moving onto Portugal."
