This is the most beautiful ryokan we have ever stayed at. The food was delicious with a great variety and the staff explained the menu. The owner came to greet us at dinner and as we were leaving, it was great to meet her. The rooms were amazing and well put together with so many thoughtful touches. Absolutely fabulous stay in Kocho, with particularly traditional ryokan with kaiseki dinner and breakfast. It embraces the natural greenery in the surroundings - constituting holistic experience that I have never had before.
Great place to stay near the train station. The staff were nice and there are a lot of free amenities offered. It was quiet, we could not hear any street traffic. Would recommend this hotel. Only recommendation is the clothes dryers didn’t really dry. Dried for 1.5 hours and they were still wet. Maybe this is just Japanese dryers?

Meals were ok, paid full price meal for our toddler & all she got was chips & nuggets for dinner. Not sure if we could have requested for something else/a full meal instead
