We had a wonderful stay here! We were upgraded to an oceanfront room that was fabulous! The room had a wonderful patio with table chairs, two lounge chairs with umbrella and literally steps to the beautiful uncrowded sandy warm water beach! The property is beautifully landscaped and clean. The pools are wonderful. The staff is friendly. The food was great, offering both local Thai food as well as many other options. Very peaceful and relaxing! Wonderful place!
Great hotel. Beautiful grounds, friendly staff, and a good location near the beach but close to town. We were upgraded to a bungalow that was amazing, very large and elegant. Great stay.
This was our second stay at La Vella Khao Lak, and we were once again impressed by the friendly and professional staff who go above and beyond. However, some guests reserve pool and beach chairs for hours without using them, which is unfair to others. We recommend management put up signs in multiple languages and enforce a policy to remove unattended towels after 30 minutes.
Nice, quiet hotel with excellent service and staff. The hotel is clean and the rooms are spacious. The breakfast buffet is excellent: pancakes, fresh fruit, yoghurt, eggs, different kinds of tea/coffee, bread and croissants and much more.
Wonderful hotel with a lot of issues.
I’ve stayed 2 nights in the Beachfront pool villa. And the room and the view are beautiful, pool is nice and spacious, breakfast was good and cocktails were surprisingly great as well, staff was nice too.
But:
- the worse issue for me was terrible internet, it’s on and off, the speed is slow often, please fix it
- light switches are not reliable and hard to use; scales in the room didn’t work, phone didn’t seem to work properly too, eveything is a bit...
We loved our 3 day stay at this beautiful hotel on a lovely beach. The staff were charming and welcoming, especially Phumi.

We had a hard time finding the hotel at first. Since we were there in a " low season " everything around was closed. Our check-in was great, they offered to upgraded our 2 deluxe family rooms into 2 villas. The villas that we had was perfect for family of 4. Our 2 children were able to fit and sleep in their very comfortable sofa bed. We stayed 3 nights here and we love it! The only thing we were really didn't care for it was breakfast buffet, it seems to us that it didn't have many...
Hotel Gahn is a gem hidden in the chaotic, nondescript town of Khao Lak. The staff is incredibly warm, friendly and inviting, and we felt like family while staying here. The hotel is gorgeous, and the numerous small touches and details that make the stay so much more enjoyable are evident throughout the hotel.

The Waters Hotel and Resort is all that and more. It was an unexpected oasis in a primitive neighborhood of Khao Lak. The beach may be close by, but you will prefer to stay all day at one of many beautiful pools. I will definitely stay with The Waters again!
