This "resort" is a rectangular strip of land about 40 paces wide and 200 long with the short edge bordering a country road across which is the sea. When I visited there was no beach to talk about. The property is rather isolated in a cluster of houses and similar properties. There are about 5 large cabins on the property and a pool that would be crowded with 20 people in it . A truly beautiful and special place. We stayed in the Junior Suite, which was so lovely and provided the perfect amount of space for us and our teenage daughter. The hotel was lovely, with real charm and character. We wish we could have spent longer in Portaria!
The property was new, nice and clean. Needed to ask for some things like soap which should have been automatically placed in the bathroom, however was given to us immediately. The food at the restaurant was very good both dinner and breakfast. They actually had really good drip coffee the way us Americans like. All in all it was a very nice stay.
First off, the Pelion region has forever changed my view of Greece! This was a beautiful hotel with large comfortable rooms and great amenities. The breakfast was great with a nice selection. We were given an upgrade upon arrival which made it nice traveling with two children. The rooms were very clean and the location was great. This is a great little town with lots of beach front dining and a couple of places to shop. The community is very welcoming to tourists and the food at every restaurant or cafe we tried was great!
