This is a wonderful hotel. There are four beaches linked to the hotel and we had access to all of them plus the sun loungers too. The views are incredible and easy to get round the whole site with complimentary buggy transfers. We have been here twice before and it will always be our go-to for Skiathos. Thanks for a great holiday.

Hotel Elivi is the best hotel on Skiathos. You don't need to leave the hotel. It has everything! Beaches, bars, and restaurants within walking distance. There's also a market next door for snacks, drinks, souvenirs. The area is so tranquil and peaceful for anyone needing a reset. It is a little far from Skiathos town and airport. If you don't have a taxi reserved when you get there, there's a bus that will take you to the hotel for 3 euros. It runs every 20 minutes. However, the hotel is the last stop so it takes about an hour to get there. The hotel can arrange for taxi pick up. It's about 30 euros.

Fantastic stay at Elivi. Facilities were fantastic and the hotel grounds are stunning. Impeccable buggy service around the grounds. Upgraded when we arrived and had our own pool. The restaurants were great, only negative was that the restaurants were very empty for dinner but that was more because it was end of season. Only criticism was that the bars by the beaches closed at 6pm and we wanted to sit with a drink and watch the sunset but no bars open. Again, think this is different in peak times. Overall, fabulous stay. A little expensive but fully worth it for pure luxury and relaxation.

The grounds are beautiful. I had the bad luck of getting the worse room 1025 by the reception - don’t know if it was because I was travelling alone. The sofa chair had a small stain and the lampshade and I noticed after sleeping the flat sheet had a small stain and the pillowcase. That was shocking especially for 5 stars. They said it was clean but I never had that in 4 stars or 3 stars. It was clean after that. They had forgotten not to use cleaning products for my allergy and offered me a different room but the view was better in 1025. Unfortunately all beach bars in skiathos play loud music so luckily they turned off the last speakers on their private beach and cleaned up the rubbish that was floating in the water. There was only live music one night despite the website saying live music. The restaurants menus were not of my liking - and no Greek food so I went outside the hotel to eat. The breakfast was excellent. The water is outrageously priced at 5 euros for a bottle and you get one free one so I bought it at the supermarket.

Staff very helpful. Hotel is spread over a large roughly 200 acre site. So for most seniors or those with young families use of the hotel's reliable free golf buggy transport is essential particularly in very hot weather to get around the site.

We absolutely loved this hotel. The location was wonderful, the cleanliness was superb. Special shout out to the wonderful staff especially Rula who works in the shop who gave us great tips on places to visit and eat in the town. it was an absolute dream holiday. We had an amazing stay, the property is huge, clean and extremely well kept. Access to the beach (many actually) is great, comfortable in every aspect. I have to say that the best aspect of our stay has been the staff. Friendly and welcoming, supported every request and responded to every needs we might had. There’s also a very useful WhatsApp chat and even an app to reserve a table to one of their magnificent restaurants. Couldn’t ask for more. Thank you!

the entire resort was massive 4 seperate beaches beautiful sunbeds, the rooms fully set for relaxation, rooms on ground level had there own pools to the rooms rooms on first level had a larger balacony with spa staff could not do enough for there quest also having our own rental car made it so much easier to get around when we wanted to, i will come back here again 10 out of 10 for me.

Amazing when fully operational

We were there for the first day of opening. The Xenia hotel was completed and situated on a headland with lovely views and access to 3 beaches, one by stairs and one by elevator which was not ready until our final day. The rest of the resort, however, was still a work in progress with engineers, gardeners and workmen on site. The staff were mostly very accommodating, particularly at breakfast and when the resort is finally completed it will be amazing. Would not have wanted to stay anywhere else on Skiathos.

Warning: this hotel overbooks. We arrived to find out that the room we had booked and paid for - a junior suite with pool in the Nest area was no longer available due to overbooking. We had to settle for 2 different rooms in another area- something I wouldn’t have chosen to do when booking the holiday. Disappointing that the management have this policy given the otherwise high standard of the hotel. As an aside - Expedia were no help at all.

Positives and negatives

The staff, beaches, position of hotel were first class. However the hot food at breakfast was always cold. This is something that has been highlighted by previous visitors for months but has obviously not been addressed. Cold fried eggs, bacon, mushrooms etc. The other issue is our pool. We had a nest grove junior suite with pool. The pool was not circulating water constantly like the pools around us. The filters were not emptied and full of bugs. The staff tried to assure us the pool was safe even though the water wasn’t circulating which I feel is not true at all. Consequently it wasn’t very clean. Overall I felt the hotel staff were fabulous but the food wasn’t. There wasn’t a children menu either and very little around the hotel for children to do even though it’s advertised as child friendly. However, the nest grove rooms are very close to the beautiful Banana beach so that compensates for it.
