"Any instructions on how to access the hotel would have been helpful. The postcode takes you to a field in Scoone Palace. Anyone trying to find this hotel should go to Perth Race course."

"Basic but comfortable room. Bit of a trek to get to it. First floor with lift but then various corridors, doors and stairs to negotiate en route. Wee bit of noise with people coming into their rooms late at night but otherwise a decent sleep. Very small tv with only terrestrial channels. No hotel parking but public car parks close by and free between 5pm-8am, and Sundays."

"I wish this place was closer to the US. I’d stay there more often. Stayed in the Lennon suite, which was a bonus that the Beatles stayed there in 1964. Walked in to the wonderful smell of a wood burning fireplace. It was so comfortable and inviting. The sitting room and library also had fireplaces that made this place a delight for the senses. The staff was very accommodating and truly endeavored to make the stay enjoyable. Add the adjacent river and the Strawberry Fields bistro to the mix and it’s a true gem. Loved it and you can bet the next time I’m in Scotland, I’ll make extra effort to put it on my “must stay” list."

"We had a fabulous relaxing two nights stay at the Hydro. The staff were absolutely amazing and looked after us so well. They were very professional and efficient but although busy they took time to ensure we were well looked after and made some time to chat with us. That makes you feel special. The hotel is spacious and has a lovely relaxing atmosphere. There are plenty areas to sit and enjoy a quiet coffee or drink. The food was delicious"

"Large clean room, with a massive bed. Great water pressure in the shower. Pub was fabulous and the food portions were large, good quality and great value for money. We loved our stay and felt very welcomed"
