This hotel is fantastic! The balcony view of the Tuscan landscape and the Basilica was incredible. The twin bed was adequate and fit the theme of staying at a former monastery. The staff was warm, welcoming, and helpful. The hotel has a chapel inside (it was a monastery) and that was an added treat. The main churches were easily accessible. I cannot imagine staying at a more beautiful place in Assisi than this hotel!

This accommodation tops ALL the places we’ve stayed in Italy. The staff are gracious and so hospitable. Incredibly welcoming. The room, building, the terraces…all first class. Breakfast in the morning was bountiful and delicious. I recommend Portica 10 absolutely!!!
It was a great stay and we loved the resident cat! The only problem we had was the inconsistency with WiFi. Anyone who needs total access at all times should not stay here. Otherwise I would have given a + rating.
Assisi was one of our favorite places to visit in Italy and we highly recommend for all to stay here. Note: town closes down by 8:30-9:00pm. Oh almost forgot they have parking and the bus stops are right close to hotel!

Hotel Sole was a complete surprise. We booked budget friendly accommodations that were simple, but this place was super clean, well appointed with a surprising amount of space for a 4 person family room in Europe! The shower had good water pressure and stayed hot for 4 showers, the bathroom was small but had everything we needed. To top it off the location was incredible!
