"The trail behind the hotel was closed. It has nothing to do with the hotel rating, but it's the only area that's walkable. The street in front of the hotel doesn't even have a sidewalk. "
"I was assigned the Victoria Room in this B&B that is under renovations. The hosts are very nice and quite chatty. I found the entire breakfast to be outstanding, with the banana bread, sausages and coffee as the stars of the breakfast! My room was cozy, and it had all the amenities that one needs. The waterfront where the tall ships dock was only a 10-minute walk from the B&B and there is a local pub a block away. I would highly recommend the Rose & Thistle Bed & Breakfast who want to experience such a friendly and welcoming environment."

The queen room does have a tiny bathroom with a step up to enter, but works fine. It also has a small roof light with no curtain/blind so if light disturbs you, you may want an eyemask"
