Holiday Inn Express Bath by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"The location we found to be ideal. Realistic 20 min walk to the town centre, via 2 routes, next to river or direct through Sainsbury's car park. Also the Royal Crescent is only a 30 minute walk away. Restaurants nearby, Proper sushi restaurant 2 minute walk or if you want more choices is back into town centre. Back to the hotel, Staff was good friendly and helpful with times of breakfast and places to go. Bar is convenient. Breakfast is good, serving cooked breakfast and cereals. Coffee is nice. Did not use on site car park, but seems to be a lot of spaces and you do have to pay for the parking. The room was clean and big enough for our basic needs for 2 nights. TV, kettle and iron and blow dryer present. The bathroom was clean and tidy, the soap and bath wash are of good quality, we liked the scent. Would definitely come back to the holiday Inn Express in Bath, good location, I believe its reflected in the price, as there are closer hotels."

"Having arrived at 10,45pm due to being stuck on the M5 for four and a half hours I was treated to a drink at the bar on the hotel. What a nice touch. Great staff."

"The hotel is in a perfect location for getting around. And transport links are good. As lone female in a place i had not bern to before i felt safe walking around. My room was on the 4th floor and the first thing that struck me when I stepped out of the lift was how dark it was. Luckily my room was at the end of the corridor next to an external window so it was light directly outside my room but to and from the lift was dark. When the lift opened on other floors. I was struck by how bright and light the other floors were compared to the 4th floor. The room was clean but it is a bit dated. Bed was comfortable and clean. There is no draws for clothes storage, only hanging space. The thing that did annoy me was the shower . The head needs cleaning as the water flow is slow. Used the restaurant twice and both times food was good and the staff were friendly polite and helpful . Food also reasonable priced. I would recommend."

"Disappointed that the bar wasn’t open very late. We arrived late on Saturday night and to unwind with a drink would have been lovely but the bar was shut"

"Nice hotel lovely location. The room was clean and breakfast very good with a lots of choice . The only thing i could improve it was a door from balcony could have stopper so you could leave open especially in the hot summer days ."
ibis Bristol Centre
8/10 Good
"The hotel was clean and tidy and in a very convenient location. There is no hotel parking, but there are two car parks very close by which offer discounted rates for hotel guests. I used Q-Park, booked online before visiting, and used the code provided by the hotel on the online booking page, which made parking very straightforward. We were initially given a room overlooking all the bars, casino and games area. Unfortunately, this was very noisy and we struggled to sleep on our first night. I went to reception the following morning and requested a room change to the other side of the hotel. The staff were extremely polite, understanding and more than happy to help, and the room change was arranged without any problem. One useful tip when booking: the rooms overlooking the bar area are the odd-numbered rooms, while the even-numbered rooms are on the quieter side of the hotel, so it's worth requesting an even-numbered room if you're a light sleeper. Other than the noise issue on the first night, we had a great stay. There was a good choice of food on the breakfast buffet, and the hotel is ideally located for the brilliant nightlife, with plenty of bars and restaurants in the surrounding area. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and would happily return."

"Had a late check-in and early departure so I didn't have much time to focus on the amenities. The staff were very welcoming and my room was perfect to get a good night's rest after a day of travel. Will book again."
