Short 5 min walk from center, close to everything. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the views of the mountains were AMAZING. I did not want to leave in the morning, was just mesmerizing watching the view. The hotel staff barely spoke English but we got by with some Spanish and lots of sign language, and they were super helpful, even helped me get instructions on how to book my bus to Rio. I was in Ouro Preto during carnival, so was wild out but the pousada was a short walk away...
Fantastic location for easy walk to town and sights. Beautiful historical property. Bed has all of the creaks and sounds of its age but mattress very comfortable and got a great night's sleep. Angelica took very good care of us. Excellent breakfast. Parking a challenge if arrive mid-day but in the evening we found a spot very close to hotel.

For the price the property is decent. The bed was comfortable and coffee and pastries are served for breakfast. Expect no heating during the winter months of the southern hemisphere as it can be cold.
