Hotel Casa del Pellegrino was wonderful. No frills, but super clean and accommodating. I was super comfortable and felt safe and secure. Perfect location if you are looking to visit the Basilica. Great place to explore the city. The hotel is on the square where is the cathedral. Excellent service and very nice people. If you travel by car, get in touch with the hotel about directions to the parking. I enjoyed my visit very much and highly recommend the hotel.
Breakfast was a superb buffet! The staff was all very helpful! The location near the train station was perfect for us. The center is an easy walk. Cafe Vero was close and excellent. We ate there twice. The hotel staff recommended Pavanna for dinner and it was excellent as well. Our room was perfect. The lobby is charming. We stayed four nights and will definately come again!
This was a great place for us to stay while visiting Venice. It is a charming building and hotel and our room was very nice - new, clean and modern. It is a very short walk to catch the water taxi to Venice, with many restaurants near and between the hotel and water taxi - perfect. The staff went out of their way to provide a high level of attention and service. They handled the parking of our rental car with no problem, which we did not use while there. I highly recommend the Ausonia Hungaria.

It was very easy to get to the property by waterbus taxi. The waterbus taxi stand is just several feet away. The room and bathroom was beautiful and spacious; with a canal view!! The staff was very nice and professional!
The photos do not do this property justice. The rooms look old in the photos and that could not be further from reality. The rooms are freshly renovated and the motif makes them appear in photos to have faded paint and furnishings, this is due to the color aesthetic not coming through in the pictures.

The location is a 3 minute walk from the train station but is on a quiet side street so it is away from all the hub-bub and crazy fray in front of the train station. Everything was amazing, we only stayed there for one night but it was totally worth it.
