We had a fantastic time. The Wolfhound walk was so nice and he was hysterical. We also had dinner at George V, which was an amazing experience. However, the thing that I will never forget was the school of Falconry. We did the 90 minute Hawk Walk and it was one of the most amazing experiences in my life!
I don't think it is possible to rate Ashford Castle as anything less than a full 5-star experience. In fact, if I could give it six stars I would. The level of customer service is so far above and beyond the call of duty it almost takes your breath away. Yes, it is expensive. But it is truly worth every penny. Excellent location in Cong, very close to interesting sites. Very nice pub/restaurant connected to the the hotel. Hot buffet breakfast was more than adequate and tasty. Convenient free parking right behind the hotel. Internet wifi worked well once connected. No complaints!!
This is a stunning property with very professional and friendly staff. There is a beautiful perimeter walk on property, around the golf course and grounds which can include the lake (~1.2-1.5 mile circuit). The food in Palmer’s bar was fine, we liked the chicken supreme quite a bit and the wait staff, especially Derry, was wonderful. Parking was not on-site, but was right next door and a discounted rate. Hotel was an easy 100 ft from the ramp. Busy area right on the main pedestrian walkway. Easy walking access to everything. Very friendly and helpful staff both in the hotel and the 1520 pub.
We had a wonderful stay. The bed was comfortable and room clean with all the necessary amenities. The hotel has a huge restaurant and Irish bar with many different rooms and 2 levels to accommodate all types of clientele! They had live music and the performances were amazing! The best part was the customer service provided with care, kindness, enthusiasm and pure happiness, always quick with help and a smile from their employee Niall, he was such a pleasure! I always stay at The Park when visiting Mayo...and The Park just keeps getting better! The breakfasts and lunches and dinners are outstanding. The service is outstanding. The rooms are very comfortable. The room cleanliness is exceptional.The location is great, too.

When I booked this hotel, I was so excited to see it in person. The Dean did not disappoint in all areas. Upon arrival, the front desk staff (I didn't get their names) shared the best things about Galway, how to access them and engaged in a conversation that made you feel like you were a guest in their home. The amenities were outstanding and the design and function were clearly evident.
