This place is a must-stay for pilgrims to Knock. The staff are very gracious, always making you feel welcome and at-home in the hallways. The front desk is exceptionally helpful in responding to questions, looking up information online, and attending to guests' needs. Thank you for making our first stay in Knock so comfortable and memorable.
Amazing hotel! Our room was excellent & large with all the facilities that you need in a bedroom! The amount of choices for breakfast were excellent! The staff were very courteous & helpful! I would certainly recommend this hotel!
Parking was not on-site, but was right next door and a discounted rate. Hotel was an easy 100 ft from the ramp. Busy area right on the main pedestrian walkway. Easy walking access to everything. Very friendly and helpful staff both in the hotel and the 1520 pub.
A very nice hotel with a great location, only a block from the train. Easy to walk everywhere. By far the friendliest staff of any of the hotels we stayed at in Ireland. Would recommend to friends and family.
The area of town is nothing special, but we enjoyed watching rugby practice at the adjacent pitch. Two issues were the shower; the pressure was good but the design is poor. There was water all over the floor afterwards. The second issue was really poor service in the restaurant, both at dinner and at breakfast. Apparently, being short handed is an issue outside of the US as well.
Excellent stay - would recommend to anyone. Hotel was nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent - buffet of cold options and hot breakfast choice cooked to order. Food was delicious. Parking is very limited, had to double park cars but attendant responded promptly to move them and it wasn’t an issue. We easily walked into Eyre Square, Latin Quarter etc and back. We stayed a second night in Galway later in our trip pre booked at a different hotel - wish we had come...
Excellent location in Cong, very close to interesting sites. Very nice pub/restaurant connected to the the hotel. Hot buffet breakfast was more than adequate and tasty. Convenient free parking right behind the hotel. Internet wifi worked well once connected. No complaints!!

I don't think it is possible to rate Ashford Castle as anything less than a full 5-star experience. In fact, if I could give it six stars I would. The level of customer service is so far above and beyond the call of duty it almost takes your breath away. Yes, it is expensive. But it is truly worth every penny.
