The Stables is a fantastic place to lay your head for the evening! My wife & I booked "the Blythburgh" room which was perfect for us travelling with our 15 year old. The rooms are very quaint, highly beamed & very quiet.
In the evening their is an honour bar in the lounge with local beers & chilled wine & you can even sit out on the lawns,
Breakfast is traditional Full English in the dining room & was excellent.
Plenty to do in the area with Dunwich & Aldeburg close by.
I don’t know that I have enough words to express my gratitude to the staff of this establishment. From technical support when I was having issues connecting to the internet, to sandwiches to stave my jet lag, to a marvelous family meal at Cleone’s. I felt like I was staying with family. Thank you for your kind and generous hospitality, it made the trip lovely.
We really enjoyed two nights here in a beautiful old village inn! The staff was very friendly and helpful, the food delicious and carefully made to order, and the location peaceful and bucolic - highly recommended to anyone looking for time away from the city!
Although we were unable to secure an accessibke room for my Mother, the staff were wonderful in accommodating us and were helpful and friendly. Great location, close to the beach an attractions. On street parking was a challenge but only because there are fireworks on Wednesdays during the summer.
Lovely old style hotel in a great location. The staff are friendly and helpful with advice to explore the city. We had a basic double room with a large bathroom. The toiletries were lovely a very comfortable bed. Would like to upgrade next time. We didn’t have the breakfast. But the special treat was a tour of the city in a vintage Bentley with Jim the tour guide and driver. He was so informative and friendly. Didn’t want it to end. It was complimentary and such a bonus. This is a fantastic place to stay for a few days, or just one night as we did. We stayed here because our flight left at 6am from NWI. It's less than a 10 minute drive from the airport. Also the in-house restaurant was very nice, with a great selection of starters and entrees. It's very close to grocery stores, as well as downtown Norwich. But far enough away to enjoy the window open without city noise.
My only complaint about the hotel is not having outlets nearer the beds. Other than that it...
