It was a lovely choice for an out-of-the-way stay. The bus stop is a short walk from the hotel, and the fare is 2 euros. An Uber into downtown cost us about 13 Euros. The Heritage is by all rights a 5 star, not a 4 star hotel. The rooms, property, and staff are all top notch! The only issues I encountered are beyond the control of the Heritage -- There are not enough taxis (I travelled to/from The Heritage by train) and if you are planning to use one, for instance, to make rail connections, plan well ahead and reserve a taxi if possible. The other thing that would be nice is if there were more dining options nearby -- But again, this is beyond the control...

We enjoyed our stay at The Club House Hotel. We had a double room which was a nice size. Very comfortable beds, updated bathroom, and a lot of charging ports for our electronics. The staff was great and we ate breakfast at the restaurant both days we stayed. Centrally located in Kilkenny to restaurants and shopping and the castle. Having parking was a bonus! We highly recommend the Club House Hotel.
