Spacious rooms with relatively new upgrades to be sure — so no complaints in room experience. Staff are absolutely wonderful, too. Please note that the property is a dated 1990s layout and architecture and styling. It’s all in serviceable, acceptable condition — just a few decades dated.
I stayed one night with my husband and son. The family room is set up well. My son enjoyed having space to himself in the loft. We arrived at the end of a heat wave, and while the room was stuffy initially, we slept quite comfortably, as the ceiling fan and window cross-breezes worked well to cool the room. The shower was tricky to figure out with regard to temperature control, so be sure to check the hosts for guidance. Tiggy and Pete are welcoming and very entertaining. They kept us in...
Everything was well above expectations. For a smaller town inn, the property was well appointed and the staff in the hotel and restaurant were all very friendly and accommodating.
Great people and very friendly. The English breakfast is huge, and extremely tasty. The bed was a little bit lumpy, and might need to be replaced soon, but I would stay with them again if I were to go to Royston again.
Driving from Liverpool to Cambridge, decided to stay just outside of Cambridge to avoid driving / parking in Cambridge, which can be quite challenging. Staying here was an inspired choice. The hotel is very adjacent to the A1 and A14 roads, right next to the Huntingdon Racecourse. The hotel was excellent in every way and was excellent value. Far better value than anything you are likely to find in Cambridge. Super pleasant staff, spotless and comfortable room. Short drive towards Cambridge...
Hosts were very accommodating and the location was perfect to visit family and friends . A walk to the village shop while having the river so close were ideal. We hope to make it back soon.
I saw a lot of mixed reviews online... but people need to consider this hotel JUST opened! And, it's opened in an up and coming University neighbourhood... not all the apartments in the area are full yet, and people are still not traveling as much as they used to.
So for me, this place was perfect as I was simply traveling through, I was able to find a parking spot easily over night, and the hotel and surrounding area supplied everything I needed.
This is a NEW hotel - all brand new and very...
Very pleasant hotel. Fantastic food and service. Only gripe was that the weather was hot and there is not AC in to rooms, but a fan is provided and that made the night ok
