It would be difficult to overstate just how wonderful this place is. The rooms are clean and relatively spacious, the breakfast is wonderful, the owner is absolutely phenomenal (he even assisted me with gassing up my car before we left!), and the pool is absolutely magnificent…I’ve never seen a nicer pool outside of a resort!
The staff was wonderful. They even met us at the square and navigated our car up into their parking area. They just went over and above doing anything they could for us! The cottage was roomy, decorated nicely and super clean. The staff brought us anything we needed and even let me know when the spa was ready after it went down for 15 minutes. The views from the cottage were superb- from the terraces all the way out to the sea, and the garden with it's citrus and vegetables draped everywhere....
Beautiful room and location. Very nice to have bottle of champagne when we arrived. Much needed after the drive up the mountain, many hairpin turns!!! But worth it. Wonderful views of Taormina and below. Parking available at reasonable cost close by. We walked down a long path, loved it.
We had the most lovely stay at Antico Borgo Etneo. Conveniently located 5 minutes from the train station, the property is gorgeous, our room was very clean and relatively cool considering we were in the middle of a heat wave. Great hospitality and a scrumptious breakfast (we’ll be thinking about that lemon chiffon cake for ages). We would stay again the next time in Calatabiano. Grazie a tutti!
The hotel is ideally located at the far end of the Giardini Naxos Beachfront. About 15 minutes walk from the Station. The Bus Stop for buses to Taormina, and from Catania Airport is opposite the hotel. There are plenty of Restaurants and Bars close-by along the seafront, within 5-15 minutes walk. Our room had a small balcony which looked directly out to sea.

Palazzo Vecchio Taormina is an amazing hotel! It is a Palazzo that has been wonderfully and tastefully renovated. My room had an incredible view of the sea and the bells from an old church nearby. An amazing facility. The staff was attentive and caring without be overbearing. The food is delicious and the location is super. Our room was of adequate size and the amenities were wonderful. They had a secure location for our bicycles which is appreciated.
Only minor glitch was that the hot tub is a bit cool for my preference. Not a big deal at all.

The location is absolutely beautiful. The staff are friendly and so helpful, going out of their way to accommodate. We experienced equivalent hospitality across every staff, from reception to bell boy to bar lobby (Fabio and Frederica!) to espresso maker to housekeeping and the lifeguard!
