Rustic Lodge Plitvice

8/10 Good

"The lodge is a few kilometers from the park but the road is not pedestrian friendly ( literally no shoulder so walking is risking your life since it's a busy road and speed is 80kph) so you need to take a taxi (15-20 Euros depending on the entrance you are going to). Also the lodge is right beside the road so ask for a room facing away from it. Also the pillows are very puffy so we used the flatter decorative ones. Awesome hamburgers."

"Our stay here was AMAZING! The room was very clean, the breakfast buffet and dinner was very good, and the staff were all kind. We dealt mostly with Zoran and he was the absolute best. Very professional, friendly, and willing to help. The drive up the mountain was a little more intimidating than we originally thought, however, it wasn’t too difficult and it was only for about 10 minutes of our drive. The breakfast and dinner options on site were very helpful so you don’t have to leave if you don’t want to. Zoran also made sure we were familiar with the best route to the lakes!"

"Breakfast was great! Lots of food. Ate dinner at the restaurant there - very good. Bought tickets to the park at the hotel and the bus stop was right there. Staff drove us to a nearby restaurant the second night. Free parking. It was a pleasant experience. The hiking at the park was beautiful. Did both upper & lower lakes."

"Plitvica Villa Prica is a quaint, family-run lodge with an incredibly warm and welcoming owner. Since I’m recovering from a knee replacement, I asked for an extra pillow to elevate my leg after hiking the falls. He immediately brought me a firm cushion, which was exactly what I needed. Our room was well appointed and very comfortable, and the bed felt especially wonderful after more than five miles of hiking. My only minor suggestion would be to add a shower curtain. We felt like we left the bathroom messier than we normally would because so much water escaped the shower area. Overall, I would highly recommend Plitvica Villa Prica. You truly couldn’t ask for a nicer or more welcoming host."
