This accommodation was very well located in old town next to all of the highlights of the area (sites, restaurants, attractions, etc.). The room was simple but clean and comfortable. Note that this place is in an area where cars are not allowed and you will have to walk from your transportation (bus, shuttle, taxi, etc.) or park in a nearby parking garage. We did not interact in person with any staff, but they were responsive via email/messages in Hotel.com.
The Hotel Jama is absolutely fabulous! Even though it was built in 1971, it is beautifully refurbished inside with elegant lounge areas and a lovely bar. Our room felt brand new - the whole hotel is even better than it looks on the website - and it looks pretty nice on there to begin with! Yes, it may seem like you are out in the boonies but actually you are only 20 minutes or less from town using the bus which is right across from the hotel. We did several times and it was wonderful, the staff explain how it works and it went off without a hitch. and it you enjoy hiking the mt trail is just down the road, I did one morning and my brother did the next. The entrance is on the third floor up the stairs, so don't be confused when you get there and buzz in! The location is amazing, and the room is large and comfortable. There is no AC in the room, but the staff brought a fan to us (without us having to ask) when the weather got unseasonably warm, and we were comfortable sleeping with that and the window open.
10/10 recommend! Communication from the staff through text was extremely helpful with check-in instructions and arranging transportation back to the airport. Located in the heart of the City Center which provided ample shopping and dining options close by.
Helpful friendly desk staff pointed out where to go on downtown map. Encourage taking stairs, lined with photos of attractions. Room was clean, with view toward Old Town. Can be noisy, as people singing on the street at 3am, but this is downtown, expect some of that. Quite good breakfast spread, not just breads. Desk staff spoke English and can help with arranging tours.
