Yes, it may seem like you are out in the boonies but actually you are only 20 minutes or less from town using the bus which is right across from the hotel. We did several times and it was wonderful, the staff explain how it works and it went off without a hitch. and it you enjoy hiking the mt trail is just down the road, I did one morning and my brother did the next. The apartment was a fantastic accommodation in a quiet residential area, yet not far from the city center. Every area was nicely decorated and everting needed for a comfortable stay was provided. The host was always helpful when we had questions. Check in and check out were easy. My only recommendation would be to include the city tax in the reservation. This is a great spot near central Ljubljana. We were three adults and the room was big enough. Check in was fairly easy and the communication was great from the host. The room was clean and fairly new with free parking in the back. Highly recommended and I will stay again if I ever make it back to this beautiful city!
The Hotel Jama is absolutely fabulous! Even though it was built in 1971, it is beautifully refurbished inside with elegant lounge areas and a lovely bar. A room in a house is what you are getting. A futon mattress and a shared bathroom. It was clean and the staff is friendly. Bed was uncomfortable so I would not go back. Not cheap enough for the poor night sleep.
