This is the nicest hotel I stayed in while travelling around Slovenia with a great price tag. The hotel was extremely conveniently located directly at the caves and has a small market village within for food options. With very convenient parking you don’t need to worry - you can park and get everything you need (including shopping) at the hotel without leaving. They have a huge buffet dinner that I would recommend but also a à la carte restaurant option. This is THE SPOT to stay if you’re visiting the caves and staying the night.

This hotel was a bit underwhelming for me, which was a bit disappointing. The hotel itself is historic and beautiful, but the buffet style restaurants attached to it were absolutely awful. We tried to get lunch upon arrival and the food was terrible and cafeteria area was full of flies. The rooms were not well thought out and the hotel was extremely hot. The AC in the rooms barely worked. Parking was not easy either. It’s not likely we’d stay here again. The good news- the staff were very friendly and the secret rooms tour was super fun!

The Hotel Jama is absolutely fabulous! Even though it was built in 1971, it is beautifully refurbished inside with elegant lounge areas and a lovely bar. Our room felt brand new - the whole hotel is even better than it looks on the website - and it looks pretty nice on there to begin with! The staff are amazingly helpful and friendly, from the warm welcome at check-in and on departure to the staff in the restaurant at dinner. A buffet breakfast is included, so you definitely won’t go hungry. And the staff can book your cave/castle/park tickets for you at a discounted rate, so I’d suggest doing that through them. The hotel is essentially situated within the park, so there are shuttles to Predjama Castle, multiple dining options and souvenir shops - it’s honestly like Disneyland for cave and castle lovers! The Hotel Jama is in the heart of all of this - literally 5 mins from the Cave Entrance, the Vivarium and the Exhibition, it couldn’t be better situated. Honestly, if I’d realised how much there is to do in the Park and how nice the hotel was, I’d have stayed longer! Definitely recommend to anyone who loves caves and castles and lovely hotels!

Great location right next to the caves! We stayed in building 2, which seems to be the newer part of the hotel. Beautiful view from our balcony, and spacious rooms and bathroom. Lots of food options and souvenir stores downstairs, but they do close around 18:00hrs so dinner can be tricky. If you have the time (1hr), definitely do the Secret Rooms of Hotel Jama tour! It is an eye-opener to actual historical events that happened at the hotel that nobody knew about until they started renovating it. Hotel guests get 50% discount on the ticket price.
