We are not resort people at all, but we did enjoy our stay at the Bali Beach Hotel. Great room overlooking the ocean and pool area. We also enjoyed the included breakfast and dinner at the new Spanish style one on the roof and the traditional Balinese food in the hotel. Highly recommended.
The Maya Ubud was incredible! Perfect for a couples getaway. The property and grounds are beautiful and the villas are quiet and very private. Even though the resort was almost full it never felt that way, the atmosphere was relaxed and luxurious the entire time. The breakfast buffet that is included in the room rate does not disappoint, it was our best meal most days.

Perfect stop after traveling from Nusa Penida back to the mainland. The hotel is a little dated and needs some renovations but the rooms were spacious and comfortable. Everyone on the staff were wonderful; a special shout out to Ega and Ariani. They are sweethearts but again, everyone on the staff were wonderful. We loved the food, as well.

I can't recommend the Puri Santrian enough. This hotel was the main ingredient for the mostly relaxing vacation I've ever had. The check-in was flawless. My room was exceptional. If you're going to stay in this area of Bali, this is the place to stay. To be honest, I don't know if it is truly a "5 star" resort as it doesn't come close to the Ritz Carlton-level, but it is a really nice place.
