This is probably the nicest place we have ever stayed. The location is out of a movie. The staff is incredibly friendly and makes an effort to get to know you. The room was amazing and had fresh fruit every day. Every meal was delicious. They are always making sure you have enough water when you are on the beach and I got a free kayak rental. The hotel is nice. The problem it is on the other side of the island which is less popular due to the quality of sea water. Activities ie swimming and snorkeling are not feasible. The issue I have with booking with Expedia is that we lose a lot of benefits as Marriott ie no upgrade of room unless you pay extra
Picked this hotel over the Four Seasons due to the rooms being right on the beach. Walk out your door and you are on the sand. Found out during our stay that the staff is second to none, pamper you to the point you feel guilty.

The villas at Lavanya are beautiful and very well maintained. We booked a 2 bedroom apartment with pool. The apartment was quite spacious elegantly built and furnished, with full kitchen and washer dryer. The service was awesome! The only issue I had was that the master bathroom had no door and the toilet in it had glass doors. And that was a major inconvenience for us. Except that, I liked everything about this place!
It has all i need and want in a stay. I have been to Langkawi many times however i always went out of the hotel to walk about and eat. It was different this time as Holiday Villa had and provided everything i wanted in a short relaxing holiday: Great room, great view, great food, great in house dining, wonderful pool and amenities.
