"The room was clean enough but it is an Old Building . The meals were great and very enjjoyble. but the staff were absolutely SUPERB. It is a family owned and run Hotel and you could not wish for better attention or Help.No it is not 5 star but the Staff make up for the Minor faults. thank you all for a Very Pleasant stay. Haakon."

"We used Staybridge Suites as a base to visit St. Andrew’s, Carnoustie and a day trip to Inverness. While initially booked for 2 nights, we extended to 4 because of the room comfort and breakfast option. The breakfast area staff were very nice. The parking lot fills quickly so on 2 nights we parked in the Dundee City lot 2 minutes down the street which is free from 6pm to 8 a.m. but you can pay when you park to extend your morning time if you want to sleep in. Ironically, I received a ticket for parking on the Staybridge property for one of the 2 nights I had paid notwithstanding that I had input my plate on both the electronic parking terminal as well as the hotel registration. While Staybridge quickly cancelled the parking offence, I’m still waiting to see if the car hire company is going to charge me a 35 pound admin fee for the incorrect charge."

"Nice hotel and room, with lovely common spaces as well. We did not use the restaurant as ate out in the city including breakfast from a great little cafe van near the V&A but this is a good amenity should you need it Only thing I’d mark this down for is the location - it’s not the nicest walk into the city centre whichever route you take so other hotels are probably better located if you’re arriving by train but this has parking if you’re coming by car"

"Our fist visit to Montrose. Lovely hotel which met all our needs in terms of friendliness, cleanliness, amenities and location. We had a very plentiful, tasty breakfast. Great atmosphere in the evening when there was a live band and a busy function suite. Have already recommended this hotel and this town to friends."
