"We booked this place and were excited to visit. The bar and restaurant areas were well used and a little tired. The rooms had been refurbished and were in a better state, the food was good, the location unique."

"Stayed for 2 nights for a work trip and it had everything I needed. Food from the bar/restaurant downstairs was lovely the girls even brought it to my room for me. Bed was lovely and comfy i had 2 good nights sleep. I would definitely recommend."

"Basic double courtyard rooms. Spacious rooms but standard double beds - though from the indentations on the carpet in mine, a Queen or King resided there before. Even so, the base "flat" sheets did not fit the mattress to the head exposing no protector. Total lack of information in my room (27) that was there in our daughter's (25) regarding wifi access and other info. I had to wash a tea cup in my room that had a sticky residue at the bottom of it and clear lip residue around the rim. No mixer taps for the bath or basin - fine. I'm British - I can "mix my own bath". But there is something uniquely annoying about a hand basin where the taps are set so far back the water only just reaches the basin. The blind in my room was functional but lop-sided and needs attentjon."

"I have visited over 170 countries. This castle is in my top two or three most wonderful places I have ever visited. The castle is amazing but the main reason i loved this place so much is because the staff were beyond perfect. They made our stay something I will never forget. The food and wine could not have been more amazing. The live piano played at dinner was priceless. I will fondly remember this place for the rest of my life."

The choice and quality of food both at breakfast and dinner was excellent, well priced and very tasty.
