"My room was its own beautifully designed little house with an unobstructed view! It felt like I was the only one on the whole property whenever I was in it. The staff is incredible and I couldn’t believe how good the food was. Truly exceptional. It’s in the hills just outside Windhoek and is one of the most relaxing places I’ve ever stayed. I booked it for my first night in Namibia and was extremely annoyed that I hadn’t booked it for my last."
"Stunning views of the desert from each chalet/bungalow and the bar and pool area. Very clean and well maintained. Lovely staff!
Dinner buffet at nearby (4 km, 4 min drive) Sossusvlei Lodge was impressive! Easy drive (5 min) to Sesriem gate to get in at sunrise. My favourite accommodations in Namibia so far (3rd stay in a 10 day self-drive tour). "
"fantastic room just needs a light switch at the bed so you don't have to walk the green mile to turn it off. TV too far away from main bed, but lovely balcony and bath"
"Martina made us feel so special and helped us beyond duty. She even checked to see if we ca wrap our luggage at Walvis on our way back to SA. The breakfast matron and bar tenders were all very friendly and made us feel super welcome. Martina managed to give us a unit with a partial sea view which we thoroughly enjoyed. The best sunsets we from the rooftop terrace. From there we could see the staggered dunes lacing the town in the East up to the lulling ocean in the West. We were able to walk to the jetty, all restaurants and shops and nearest swimming beach. Definitely booking to stay at La Mer again the next time we visit Swakop. "
