"The hotel is suitable for a short city stay and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. They happily refilled the water and coffee in our room daily when asked. The breakfast had plenty of choice and was regularly replenished.
One large negative is the location. The surrounding streets are dodgy but the hotel is immediately above the metro station and the hop-on-hop-off bus stop. Despite being walkable from Monastiraki Sq and other prime tourist locations, I would highly recommend using transport rather than walking around the side streets, especially at night, or with children or if you are travelling alone.
The room was comfortable and spacious, particularly for a city hotel. The bathroom was compact but, if the door was closed, it would acquire the smell of drains. The gym is fairly small, with some equipment very close to each other - I had to synchronise my use of one machine with another visitor so we avoided knocking into each other - but it's fine if you are the only one in there. We ate in the pool bar for convenience before heading to the airport on our final day and sadly the food was disappointing, you can definitely eat much nicer food for less elsewhere."
