Everything was great, but at checkout time, I was accused of drinking the four sodas that were in the refrigerator! Never used anything provided by the hotel in the mini-bar. I don't think that they believed me. I don't like being accused of something I didn't do.
I had a great stay at the hotel. The staff were super helpful and welcoming, and the hotel was clean and well maintained with all the necessary amenities. I liked the view of the canal from my room despite its facing a parking lot. the coffee machine was a nice touch that I especially enjoyed. The same machine can also make hot water.

Perfectly located in central Alkmaar. Beautiful hotel and we stayed in a lovely room with a view overlooking the entire city. Some things to note about the hotel:
1. You have to check out the remote for the AC unit, which they didn't tell us at check-in, so we had to go back downstairs and ask about it.
2. There was a beam in the room that made the room look gorgeous, however the placement of the bed under the beam made head-smacks VERY LIKELY. This would be very easy to avoid with a simple...
Excellent location right across from train station. Surprisingly quiet. Very clean but basic and small. If you have any mobility issues, make sure you get a ground floor room. The stairs are very steep. Breakfast was great!
Everything was perfect. Property is beautiful and staffs are kind. I enjoyed fitness and sauna too. The only drawback is checkout time at 11am is a bit too early. Hope it is 12pm.
All the rooms are different which makes them interesting. Comfortables beds, though pillows could be softer. Free bottle of champagne in suite was nice surprise. Hotel Estherea is a beautiful place, with a fabulous location, great staff, clean, breakfast is great and the cookies,flavored waters and coffee machine are over the top. There are fresh flowers, gorgeous chandeliers and very comfortable sitting areas. It was a real treat and I would go back in a minute.
I will only stay at this hotel in Amsterdam. The location is ideal - quieter street but walkable to everything. The amenities are everything you need for a relaxing vacation. The staff is out of this world - energetic, professional and helpful.

The property is unique. The commons areas are welcoming and convenient. We stayed here to be close to the art museums, and if you can dodge the bikers and trams for a five-eight minute walk, you will love the experience. The cocktail spread was all we needed for that evening meal, though we did find nearby restaurants that were fun. Breakfast at the hotel was delightful. Most wonderful was the kindness of the lovely women running the hotel. We felt welcomed in Amsterdam thanks to them.
