"It was in a great location in el Centro near the market. It was very clean and the shower was good. We enjoyed "people watching" from our balcony. During the day it was very busy outside but quiet all night until about 8am. We enjoyed having access to cold water and the aircon worked well. It was VERY hot outside."

What worked for a one‑night stay: • Seamless access to big‑box shopping: The hotel is built right into Pabellón Salina Cruz, adjacent to the Galerías del Istmo mall, so you step out the door into a cluster of stores including a Liverpool department store (opened in 2012) • Nearby supermarket: A full‑size Walmart Supercenter is just off the Transístmica highway (MEX‑185), open daily from 7 AM to 11 PM—ideal if you need last‑minute snacks or supplies • Quick, casual eats: On the same plaza you’ll find a Domino’s Pizza branch for fast delivery or carry‑out, and a Toks Restaurante offering sit‑down Mexican comfort food . • Easy highway & industrial‑area reach: With the Pemex refinery five minutes away, and direct highway access, you can be on the road or back at the port in no time What to keep in mind: • Not downtown: The historic center and beachfront of Salina Cruz are about a 10‑minute drive away—too far to walk, and rideshares run roughly MXN 200 one‑way. • Car or shuttle required: Unless you plan only to shop at the mall, you’ll need a car (or the hotel’s shuttle/taxi service) to explore local sights or the town proper. Bottom line: For a one‑night layover focused on convenience—shopping, highway access, quick bites—Hotel One Salina Cruz hits the mark. "

"The property is truly a gem in quite a remote area. As it is a non season, everything is closed, but this hotel is working and that is nice. But actually besides its teritory there is nothing to do there. The owner is extremely nice and chatty! It gives property a lot if charm. Other staff members unfortunatelly really dont speak english much so the communication is very limited. Well, almost like in all Mexico. Overall nice pool and interior in the apartments, would be great to have some bedside lamps and lightening not so harsh, some “light candle” lights. "

"My room was plenty big, the AC unit works well. Make sure you get an extra key to keep the AC unit running, it needs a room key to work. Bed mattress was very stiff. Hotel allows people from outside to swim in the pool during the day for a few. If you are a paid guest, good luck enjoying the pool privately. "
