This was my first visit to Cuenca, and I absolutely loved the city. Hotel Azul de la Plaza was an excellent base to explore the Centro Historico. The room was spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated, and above all, very comfortable. The location really cannot be beat, the price was more than reasonable, and there was parking available in a secure lot. When I come back to Cuenca, I will absolutely stay here again.

I always look for clean hotels. In this small town, the number of clean and cozy hotels is limited. This hotel is one of the best one in the town.

Nice to rest, good location out of downtown but very near

We thought this hotel was very charming and comfortable. It had a great deal of character, and the staff was very kind and helpful. It was easy to walk around the city from this location or get a taxi. As we were leaving, there were no empty taxis any where and we needed to be at the bus station; two staff members came outside to help us flag down an empty taxi to get us off on time. This is our second stay at this hotel. We love it here and would not stay at any other hotel in Cuenca! Staff and owner are always smiling, customer service is incredible....It feels like home from the day we arrive until we leave. Thank you Monica, Claudia and the rest of your amazing staff.
