Fantastic hotel with very helpful staff. In room we found a personalized welcome note, delicious nibbles from their bakery and refreshing bottles of water. The room had a view of the lake …also a plus. Restaurant and room service was absolutely top notch. We will stop again.

Excellent hotel. Cross the street, and there is a little path that gets you down into the water. The only thing I didn't like was that the main road was right underneath our balcony, and it was impossible to have a conversation out there without some motorcycle group interrupting it. Maybe request a room on the top floor... it might be quieter up there.

The young woman at the reservation desk who greeted us was lovely and helpful. Her suggestions for the day and where to have lunch in Arona were most enjoyable. In the evening, a gentleman at the desk directed us to a restaurant nearer the hotel for dinner, not near the lake. Our fault for not being specific. All in all, a good choice for a close location to the airport.

Fantastic Place to stay! This is one of the best places I have ever stayed! The staff is superb! All other hotel staff members should be trained by the people that work this property. I recently spent 9 nights at this lovely hotel and was absolutely thrilled with the decision to do so. The room was smaller, which wasn't a huge deal given that it was really just to sleep and shower in with maybe some down time in between. Staff & accommodations were as good as any 5 star we have stayed at.

I based my booking on the free airport shuttle. The hotel exceeded my expectations! We arrived by train. The hotel is about a 10 min walk from the train station. There's a short section walking along a busy road (no sidewalk, but a trail), but an easy walk. The hotel room was basic and clean. Comfotable bed, spacious bathroom, some rooms have balconies. It was a perfect choice to stay the night before we flew out of Milan. Friendly service, delicious breakfast, great spacious rooms and short walk to train station. Perfect stay and would recommend to anybody!

Spacious rooms with well appointed bathroom and massage shower. Restaurant offerings were above average with a good wine list. Friendly staff and overall pleasant stay. Really quick access (20 minutes) by car to Malpensa airport.

Grand Hotel des Lles Borromees is a wonderfully elegant hotel set lakeside with beautiful grounds and gardens. My wife and I extended our stay from 3 to 5 nights - expensive, but well worth it.
